CHP officers open fire on suspect, second suspect at large
Investigators are looking for Levi Young in connection with an officer involved shooting Shaw Avenue and Zediker Avenue.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno County Sheriff's Office arrested the second suspect, 19-year-old Levi Young of Fresno.

UPDATE: SECOND SUSPECT IN OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING ARRESTED

The incident happened at Shaw and Zediker, east of Clovis and North of Sanger, around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

The California Highway Patrol initially responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Authorities say the officer was surprised to see an unidentified suspect inside the stolen truck and Young in a vehicle nearby. Investigators say a suspect tried to ram the officers with his car. That's when the officer opened fire.

The unidentified suspect was arrested, but Young got away.

"We did have two helicopters came out her and conducted a search for him. Obviously very rural out there, there's hills. Its difficult to find somebody on foot. So that was our best avenue to try and find him," said Tony Botti, Fresno County Sheriff's Office.

No officers were injured in the incident, but the first suspect was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. He will be booked after he is treated.

If you have any information about Levi Young, you are urged to call the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
