FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two suspects have been taken into custody after an officer-involved shooting in Fresno County on Monday morning. They are identified as 19-year-old Levi Young and 40-year-old Pasquale Desantis.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a call about a stolen work truck at Shaw and Zediker avenues, east of Clovis, around 4:30 a.m. When he arrived at the scene, the officer saw a Ford Ranger pickup and the stolen work truck.

Investigators say a suspect driving one of the vehicles tried to ram the officer with his vehicle. That's when the officer opened fire.

Desantis was arrested immediately. Young got away, but authorities say he was caught a few hours later after a witness saw his description on the news and called authorities with his location.

No officers were injured in the incident.
