Mother dog, puppies rescued from storm drain near Fowler
Crews pulled out four adorable pups and their mom Tuesday afternoon.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Animal shelter workers will continue their efforts on Wednesday to rescue several puppies that have been living in a storm drain off the freeway for two months.

Crews pulled out four adorable pups and their mom Tuesday afternoon. A trucker spotted the animals off Highway 99 and Manning Avenue near Fowler. Rescuers believe the dog gave birth in the drain and the litter has lived there ever since.

Workers tried to lure out the two remaining puppies for about 12 hours, but so far no luck. They'll resume their efforts Wednesday morning.
